The Look for Less: MINTY COOL

Pastels are a go-to for the lady at even given time of the year, however, designers have taken to splashing mint green on the runway for Spring 2012

you are my sunshine♬

My birthday was this past Thursday, which really should’be been a NATIONAL HOLIDAY!

(although it wasn’t) I decided to act like it!

I didn’t do any work, no domestic duties – for a mom, that’s major…

I shopped all day long. And I loved it!

I’ve found that when you shop, especially when you are figure challenged like myself, you should always plan to try things on.

So, I try to wear things that are easy to get in and out of.

like:

leggings and comfy boots {loosely tied}

It was overcast and brrrr-cold, however I grabbed my own sunshine before I walked out my door.

my own contentment brightened my day, and the scarf helped a little too :-)

the battle of the black pumps!

My fab friends and I have come up with an idea to a jazzy all black ensemble.

My girl Jeannie has gotten ahead of everyone and ordered her shoes already…

SOOOOO… guess what I’m doing??

{surfing the web for a BAD pair of heel that’ll make my outfit pop}

Did I mention that they have to be

affordable??

So far, I’ve come up with these:

The first two cater to my rock star side,

and the last two appeal to my girly persona :-)

  1. Bamboo “RECAP” Wedge Heels, $41
  2. ASOS “PUMPKIN” pointed court heels, $41
  3. Vintage-inspired black and white polka dot ruffle heels, $32
  4. Miss Me “Perch-12″ Ankle Wrap Platform Heels, $42

Here’s where you come in!!!

Which one do you like most?

While some parents have to tussle with their children about what clothes to wear,

my 4-year old, whom we call Little Man aka Squeak

makes the job easy!

I'm this cool all the time.

You're not ready!

...smooth kicks... as he calls em'

Van Heusen tan suit blazer, Ralph Lauren zip-neck pullover, The Children’s Place (TCP) straight leg jeans, TCP plaid canvas shoes, Gap Kids brown hat

Little Man takes it upon himself to get dressed for “work” (which really just entails him parading around saying he’s the manager!)

this was his outfit today :-)

Style is much like class: Either you’re born with it…or…..

Happy Tuesday!

Bonjour! meet mommymoiselle

Hey there reader!

This post is to let you into my world of play dates, spring sales, homework and how to answer the ever-present question: “what’s for dinner?!”

MOMMYMOISELLE came from one of my sons trying to be fancy and call me mademoiselle…

that isn’t quite what came out of his little mouth; thus mommymoiselle was born!
